Opened in 1968 the Bernhard von Limburger designed Old Course makes Atalaya one of the oldest and most prestigious clubs on the coast. Von Limburger was responsible for 74 courses throughout Europe, although Atalaya is his only Spanish course. The New Course was added in 1990, to a Paul Krings design. Unlike so many clubs in the area, Atalaya was established first and foremost as a golf club, as opposed to a real estate development. This heritage allows members and visitors alike to enjoy golf in natural surroundings, largely uncluttered by housing developments.

Designed by Seve. Enjoy one of the most spectacular golf courses in Spain. This 18-hole par 72 course, designed by the legendary player Severiano Ballesteros, has excellent views of the Sierra de Mijas and the Mediterranean Sea. It is located on uneven terrain, which gives it a great personality, which added to the original design of the great Seve, makes it a challenge for the good player and great entertainment for medium and high handicaps. It has 5 par three holes, 5 par five and 8 par four holes, all of them perfectly differentiated from each other.
